Whether you’re into a two-door coupe, fuel-efficient sedan, or family-friendly crossover, there’s a new 2017 Hyundai model right here, waiting for you to turn the key. Read on and discover a few of the newest vehicles available at McCarthy Blue Springs Hyundai.

2017 Hyundai Sonata

As one of the country’s best-selling midsize sedans, the Hyundai Sonata has already made an impact with its 2017 model. Available in six trims (base SE, Eco, Sport, Sport 2.0T, Limited, and Limited 2.0T), the 2017 Sonata offers class-leading interior space and a horde of incredible and modern features. Here’s a breakdown of what you can expect from the 2017 Hyundai Sonata:

The Sonata SE comes with a 2.4L CDI engine that produces 185 horsepower. Its 25/36 mpg (city/highway) bests most rival’s EPA-estimates numbers, making it a shoe-in for KBB’s 5-Year Cost to Own Awards. Inside you’ll find a 7-inch display with integrated Apple CarPlay™, Android Auto™, and a rearview camera; Bluetooth® hands-free phone system; and Hyundai Blue Link®. The 2017 Sonata SE is also surrounded by high-class touches, like dual power heated side mirrors, chrome accents and door handles, solar glass, and standard blind-spot mirrors.

At the top of the pyramid is the Sonata Limited 2.0T, with features a twin-turbo inline-4 that makes an impressive 245 horsepower. Considering the powerful engine, the 21/30 mpg is a blessing, and the collection of safety features secure it five-star ratings with the NHTSA and a Top Safety Pick+ with IIHS. Sport-tuned suspension, 18-inch alloy wheels, and HID Xenon headlamps are noteworthy, and dual automatic climate controls, a leather steering wheel, and the exquisite Infinity® Premium Audio system and 8-inch touchscreen with navigation round out the luxurious touches inside.

What do the critics have to say about the 2017 Hyundai Sonata? Marty Padgett of thecarconnection.com says that “the 2017 Hyundai Sonata is a strong family-sedan value, with inconspicuous looks hiding top-notch safety and fuel economy.”

2017 Hyundai Elantra

Available in the SE, Value Edition, Eco, Sport, and Limited trims, the new 2017 Hyundai Elantra is a breath of fresh air. Marty also agrees, calling the newest compact “…one of the most refined economy cars on the road.” While the base SE is an incredible car in its own right, the Elantra Value Edition is a step above, featuring a 4-cylinder engine that makes 147 horsepower. Drivers are rewarded with 28/37 mpg (city/highway) EPA ratings, and a splashes of refined excellence inside the cabin, such as a power driver’s seat with lumbar support; auto-dimming rearview mirror with HomeLink® and a compass; power sunroof; 7-inch display with HD Radio/SiriusXM™, Android Auto™, and Apple CarPlay™; push button start; dual automatic temperature control with CleanAir Ionizer; heated front seats; and Bluetooth® hands-free phone with voice recognition.

The 2017 Elantra Limited model shared many of the above features, as well as heated side mirrors, door handle approach lights, a hands-free smart trunk, and keyless entry. It also comes with upgraded 17-inch alloy wheels, heated leather seats, LED headlights, chrome molding, dual USB ports, and Hyundai’s Integrated Memory Driver Seat. All with America’s Best Warranty (10-year/100,000-mile powertrain limited, including Roadside Assistance).

2017 Hyundai Tucson

As far as SUVs go, we’ve yet to find a better value and sophisticated vehicle than the 2017 Hyundai Tucson and its four trims: the SE, Eco, Sport, and Limited. What makes it so appetizing? The Tucson SE’s 2.0L GDI engine that makes 164hp and nets 23 city/30 highway MPG might be the reason. Or it could be its standard 5-inch screen with SiriusXM Satellite Radio, rearview camera, and HD audio system. Or perhaps it’s the SHIFTRONIC® automatic transmission, solar glass, and YES Essentials® stain-resistant seats. We like to think it’s all of the above, and more.

The 2017 Hyundai Tucson Limited amps up the power of the SE thanks to a 1.6L turbo engine that pumps out 175 horsepower. Navigation and Infinity® Audio with Clari-Fi™ Music Restoration fills out the 8-inch LCD touchscreen well, and the interior space is a leg-stretchers dream, handily beating competitors like the Ford Escape. LED headlights, a 7-speed EcoShift transmission, and a grille and door handles in vibrant chrome make the Limited Tucson a piece of art.

As KBB’s Keith Buglewicz writes in his review, “The 2017 Hyundai Tucson… gets just about everything right.”

2017 Hyundai Santa Fe

The Santa Fe, alongside its brother the Santa Fe Sport, rounds out Hyundai’s roster of best-selling SUVs and crossovers. Available in SE, Limited, SE Ultimate, and Limited Ultimate trims, the 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe has more total interior volume—80 cubic feet of cargo space (with second- and third-row seats folded down)—than rivals like the Highlander and Durango. In the SE, you’ll find a beastly 3.3L V6 engine that delivers 290 horsepower, which is more than ample to lug around a maximum of 5,000 pounds when paired with the 6-speed SHIFTRONIC® transmission.

Carry that power over to the Limited Ultimate model of the Santa Fe, and you’ve got an SUV version of perfection. From the “Ultimate” liftgate badge to the five-bar front grille, every exterior feature on the 2017 Santa Fe Limited Ultimate shines. In the cabin, you’ll discover more of the same, like a panoramic sunroof, multi-view camera system, heated steering wheel and seats, and premium audio.

John Vincent of U.S. News likens the 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe to Rodney Dangerfield—it don’t get no respect. With such great features and more space than most SUVs, the Santa Fe really should be at the top of your list.
